Platform Product Manager
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, self-starter to take ownership of the core technology platform of a SaaS business and become an expert in the emerging mobile commerce domain while growing their product management skills within a high–energy, dynamic environment. We are looking for a product manager who has the vision and drive to create game changing approaches to our core systems, driving discontinuous improvements in our operational cost.
The platform that you will own:
- Most importantly, will need to scale to handle 10x the number of customers, functionality, and load as we grow our business at 100% / year.
- Processes thousands of mobile purchase transactions each week.
- Powers businesses in multiple continents and in multiple languages & currencies.
- Accelerate and smoothen the deployment during the engagement process.
- Provides a mobile friendly end-user experience that is seamlessly integrated with our client's ecommerce systems,
- Integrates services with 20+ technology partners
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders within our client services teams to identify ways to lower the TCO of our solutions. This has been identified as a critical area of impact and investment and is a fundamental component of our cost of doing business.
- Work with R&D to identify infrastructure investments and architectural enhancements that will enable scalability.
- Work with Product owners to create solutions that allow international and multi-brand clients to consolidate their entire business into one contiguous system.
- For every new product, module, and enhancement added to our platform, identify ways to minimize simplify or generalize platform changes, and identify scaling requirements.
- Define and manage externally facing integration points such as APIs and data feeds.

In this role, you will be responsible for
- Driving bottom line impact via technology and coordination with the best and brightest in marketing, sales, development, business development, and client services.
- You will be a customer and partner-facing member that is accountable for researching, planning, requirements, deployments, collateral content creation, communication and other product launch activities.
Required Skills and Experience
- 2-3 years of Product Management experiences on at least 2 different products.
- Attention to detail and absolute focus on quality of work
- Platform engineering and project management experience
- Superior communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; meeting facilitation and strong follow-up
- Ability to execute a number of parallel tasks and work with cross-functional teams on a day-to-day basis
- Positive, self-starter attitude and desire to exceed client expectations at every opportunity
- Capacity to coordinate development activities with an offshore R&D team based in Chengdu China
The ideal candidate would also have the following experience
- Product management experiences with Software as a Service (SaaS) model a plus.
- Passion for building and launching new technologies
- Expert knowledge in web services and data syndication preferred
- Expert knowledge of web commerce or marketing platforms preferred
- Prefer BA/BS in Computer Science or MBA with product management specialization from top 20 institutions required.
