Business Process Server
The Business Process Server is the backend component of the Mobile Storefront.
Catalogs
The server prepares and distributes catalog content to devices. This includes device specific content optimization. Our patent-pending catalog synchronization technology enables device specific content to be delivered to users.
Users
The server receives and processes all user and account operations, such as creating accounts or authenticating users. Authentication can leverage a retailer's account management system, so that a customer's existing web credentials are their mobile credentials too.
Orders
The server processes orders by injecting them into a retailer's existing electronic commerce infrastructure so that new process flows are not required. All communication regarding orders is encrypted for enhanced security.
Reports
Event tracking is built into both the Downloadable Storefront Application and the Mobile Web Storefront. The server processes all event streams and generates analytical reports for management decision making. Reporting includes user activity and product interest.
The Business Process Server is managed by Digby and hosted at an access-controlled Tier 1 hosting facility. As a Software as a Service application, retailers do not have to host the Business Process Server in their own data centers. Instead, the Business Process Server integrates with a retailers existing electronic commerce infrastructure through a variety of low touch means. Depending upon integration method, there may zero requirement for IT. This is the key to rapid deployment of the Mobile Storefront. The SaaS architecture of the Business Process Server enables most deployments in less than four weeks.
